Nate Oats has injected some serious life into Alabama basketball, and Saturday night's game against Auburn in Coleman Coliseum was a prime example! With the stakes sky-high – potentially crushing Auburn's tournament dreams – the atmosphere was absolutely electric. The Crimson Tide cruised to a 96-84 victory, dominating the game from the jump. It was a statement win, plain and simple! After the game, Coach Oats made sure to give props to the students for the incredible energy they brought to the arena. "A lot of positives to come from this game. We have the best student section in the SEC, and I really appreciate what they’ve given us all year," Oats said, clearly impressed. Oats also celebrated the team's seniors, praising their contributions to the team's culture. He highlighted Houston Mallette's selfless attitude, Latrell Wrightsell's recent performance boost, and Noah Williamson's unwavering positivity. "Those three guys to get a win on senior night, I couldn’t be happier for them." Alabama heads to the SEC Tournament in Nashville as the No. 2 seed after wrapping up the regular season with a stellar 23-8 record (13-5 in conference play). After earning a double bye, they'll face either Georgia or the winner of Ole Miss vs. Texas on Wednesday night in the quarterfinals on Friday night.
