Regions Bank deeply appreciates the sacrifices made by our veterans. Beyond recognition, they are dedicated to providing meaningful support to those who have selflessly served our country. Regions' commitment manifests in several ways, including targeted financial guidance, educational resources, and career programs designed for military personnel. For the 5th year, Regions has been acknowledged as a Military Friendly® Employer in 2025. Steve Beres, the Service Members and Veterans Affairs Manager, has held the position for 12 years. Steve, part of the Community Engagement team, is the point of contact between Regions and the military community, ensuring ongoing support to those who serve. Steve served 22 years in the U.S. Army, including combat tours in the Middle East. After recovering from injuries sustained in combat, he earned multiple degrees, including a doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Before joining Regions in 2013, he worked in law enforcement and for the Veterans Administration. Regions believes it has a responsibility to support veterans facing unique post-service challenges. This isn't just about finances; it's about helping them thrive through education, partnerships, and community events. Regions is involved with organizations like the Home Builder’s Institute, providing construction training for transitioning military members (with an impressive 86% employment rate for graduates). They also support the Lakeshore Foundation, which offers rehabilitation and physical training for wounded military members. Steve participated in their Operation Night Vision program. Steve has also worked with Army Junior ROTC cadets and participated in Honor Flights. Steve participated in a whitewater rafting trip sponsored by Wounded Warriors of Cataract Canyon. Connecting with fellow veterans, Steve participated in healing and reflection with fellow veterans. Regions offers a Customer Assistance Program to aid customers facing unforeseen needs. This includes payment deferrals, interest rate discounts, and fee waivers. Affected individuals can call 1-800-221-7471, and military members can call 1-855-REG-4MIL (734-4645). Regions associates actively contribute to their communities. Consider the United Way for connections to veterans organizations offering housing, job training, and mental health services.Regions Bank: Serving Those Who Served
