After a rough start to the season, the Alabama Crimson Tide bounced back in a big way Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium. They were clearly ready to rumble against Louisiana-Monroe after last week's Florida State debacle. The final score? A whopping 73-0 victory for the Tide! It was their largest shutout win since 1951, when they trounced Delta State 89-0. Shutouts are always sweet, but this game belonged to one man... Quarterback Ty Simpson absolutely lit it up. He wasn't just comfortable; he was DOMINANT! Simpson went 17 for 17 to start the game – a first in Alabama history! He finished with 226 yards, three touchdowns, and even a rushing score. Germie Bernard, who was one of the few bright spots in Tallahassee, continued to shine. He snagged just four passes, but three of them went for touchdowns, and he sailed past 100 yards again. Looks like we've found our top receiver, folks! The second half brought even more excitement, with fresh faces hitting the field. Freshman phenom Keelon Russell got in on the action, tossing two touchdowns, and Austin Mack added two more of his own. Even though the competition wasn't exactly top-tier, the Tide played nearly flawlessly. Simpson looked like the gunslinger we all hoped he'd be. If he keeps improving, Kalen DeBoer and this Alabama team might just make that Tallahassee trip a distant, unpleasant memory.Tide Roll Over ULM in Home Opener!
