Tuscaloosa's doing good this holiday season! Through December 4th, you can swap those pesky $19 overtime parking tickets for brand-new toys for Toys for Tots. One ticket gets you a toy worth $10+, two tickets score a $20+ gift. Let's hope this spreads some cheer throughout Alabama! Sen. Katie Britt and Rep. Gary Palmer are pushing to protect our votes! Their reintroduced Citizen Ballot Protection Act would let states require proof of citizenship for mail-in voter registration. They're saying voting is a sacred right only for American citizens! Coach-turned-Senator Tommy Tuberville is on the case for safety! He's advocating for the UBER Act, requiring English proficiency for rideshare drivers. Meanwhile, the Trump admin's warning Pennsylvania about losing federal funding if they keep handing out Commercial Drivers' Licenses illegally. Alabama Public Library Service Chair John Wahl is cheering on a new rule that classifies gender ideology materials as inappropriate for children's collections. These materials will now be in the adult section, empowering parents to make informed choices. The delayed September jobs report is in! 119,000 U.S. jobs were added, with unemployment at 4.4%. It's defying historical trends, leaving the Federal Reserve scratching their heads over conflicting data and demographic shifts. What's next for interest rates? The debate rages on! Don't get your hopes up (or shovels ready)! Local weather folks are tired of the Thanksgiving snow rumors. They say no snow is in the National Weather Service forecast for the next week. But hey, colder trends are expected after the holiday, so maybe some wintery weather is on the way! President Trump is laying down the law! He's calling Democratic lawmakers' letters urging troops to defy unlawful orders "seditious" and punishable by death. Sens. Elissa Slotkin and Mark Kelly are among those targeted, as worries about political violence escalate. Want more takes on Alabama news? Senator Tommy Tuberville is fired up, and he's making it clear: American taxpayers shouldn't be stuck paying the tab for holding the Biden DOJ accountable. This comes after the FBI revealed Jack Smith's team snooped on the private communications of almost a dozen GOP lawmakers, Tuberville included. A last-minute addition to the continuing resolution would have allowed Tuberville and other spied-on senators to sue the feds. But the House nixed that provision unanimously. Tuberville seems okay with it, tweeting that there are better ways to dish out justice. "American taxpayers should not be forced to pay the price for Joe Biden’s CORRUPT DOJ!" Tuberville declared. He wants no taxpayer money going towards "damages" or "legal fees" for senators who were targets of the Biden administration. Forget lawsuits, Tuberville's sights are set higher. He's laser-focused on impeaching the judge who signed off on the spying, Judge Boasberg, and getting Jack Smith disbarred – possibly even thrown in the slammer! Tuberville has teamed up with Senator Eric Schmitt, penning a letter demanding the administrative suspension of Chief Judge James Boasberg. They allege Boasberg abused his judicial authority to target the Trump administration, Republican Senators, and conservative groups.

The college football world is spinning! We're already seeing major shakeups, with powerhouse SEC programs like Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, and LSU all hunting for new head coaches. But the drama doesn't stop there! Remember Penn State? Well, they shockingly ousted James Franklin after a rough patch earlier this season. Now, the rumor mill is churning. While some might underestimate them, Penn State is a football titan with serious history and, importantly, deep pockets. Hold on to your hats! Word on the street is that some folks in State College are dreaming big – like, poaching Alabama's head coach Kalen DeBoer after just two seasons! Jon Sauber, who covers Penn State for the Centre Daily Times, suggests DeBoer is their top target and hints at some real traction behind these wild rumors. Sauber floated the idea that if Alabama stumbles in the Iron Bowl and misses the College Football Playoff AGAIN, the heat might get too intense for DeBoer. Could he be tempted by the Penn State opportunity? Sauber isn't saying DeBoer is packing his bags. But Penn State's interest is real. If DeBoer is content in Alabama, end of story. But if the pressure cooker atmosphere and the demand for constant CFP appearances become too much, a move to Penn State might not be so far-fetched. Keep an eye on that Iron Bowl – it could trigger the biggest coaching bombshell of the year!Coaching Carousel Chaos!
