$450,000 Up for Grabs!

They're giving away a whopping $450,000 in their Fall 2025 Competitive Grant Cycle! This is HUGE for programs that empower women economically across the state.

Nine Grants of $50K!

That’s right! Nine lucky community organizations will each receive $50,000 to fuel their innovative programs aimed at boosting women's economic mobility.

Focus Areas: Where the Magic Happens

Apply under one of these categories:

• Women + Work: Think education, skills training, coaching, and support to help women land awesome jobs and excel in the workforce.
• Women + Leadership: Focus on mentorship, public speaking, executive coaching, and getting women involved in civic life to build their leadership chops.
• Women + Wellbeing — Financial Wellbeing: Programs that strengthen women's financial stability and build wealth across generations – savings initiatives, down payment assistance, legal services, you name it!

Show Me the Results!

The Foundation wants to see proposals that clearly demonstrate how you'll boost participants' economic opportunities. Measurable results are key!

You'll need to be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, a 501(c)(3)-exempt religious institution, or a government entity providing services in Alabama.

Hold onto your hats, ChumCity! After a nail-biting race to the mayor's office, Kent Lawrence has emerged victorious! With Mayor Tab Bowling stepping down, the race was wide open, and Lawrence seized the opportunity.

The Numbers Are In!

Lawrence snagged a whopping 6,201 votes (that's 54.16%!), leaving City Councilman Billy Jackson in the dust with 4,898 votes (42.78%). William "Butch" Matthews and Suzie Wiley also threw their hats in the ring, garnering 217 and 134 votes respectively.

Not Official Just Yet...

These results are still unofficial, folks, but the buzz is real!
