Get ready, ChumCity! The race to be Mobile's next mayor is headed to a showdown! Former district judge Spiro Cheriogotis and State Rep. Barbara Drummond are locked in a runoff election on September 23rd. Neither candidate managed to snag a majority in Tuesday's jam-packed, four-way race. The other contenders, County Commissioner Connie Hudson and former Police Chief Paul Prine, put up a good fight, but ultimately, it's Drummond and Cheriogotis who will face off again. Drummond led the pack with 33.7% of the vote (13,897 votes), while Cheriogotis followed with 27.6% (11,389 votes). Prine grabbed 19.9% (8,186 votes), and Hudson rounded out the field with 18.7% (7,722 votes). Cheriogotis is feeling the momentum! He exclaimed on Tuesday night that "we're closer to building a Mobile where every neighborhood feels safe." He's pumped for the runoff and ready to keep fighting. This election is a big deal for Mobile, marking a new chapter after a decade of leadership under outgoing Mayor Sandy Stimpson. With Stimpson stepping down, the race has become a battleground focused on tackling crime, managing growth, and finally delivering on those long-awaited infrastructure improvements. Cheriogotis, fresh off the bench, is pitching himself as the steady hand Mobile needs. Drummond, a seasoned state legislator, is banking on neighborhood investment and changing demographics. Hudson highlighted her track record of getting things done, while Prine vowed to slash crime and bureaucracy. Mobile's recent expansion, thanks to annexations, has brought tons of new voters into the fold. These fresh faces from the west and south sides of the city got their first taste of mayoral election action, making this race even more exciting!Mobile Mayoral Race Heads to Runoff!

Just a week after throwing his hat in the ring for Tommy Tuberville's soon-to-be-vacant Senate seat, Congressman Barry Moore is already making waves! Moore hosted a rocking fundraiser recently, drawing some serious political heavyweights. We're talking Representatives Jim Jordan and Warren Davidson, plus none other than former Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows! "The energy in Alabama is electric!" Moore exclaimed. "We're building a movement grounded in faith, family, and good ol' freedom. This fundraiser proves the support is statewide and nationwide. Huge thanks to Jim, Warren, and Mark for showing up!" Moore and Jordan are old pals. Jordan even showed up at a Moore campaign event back in 2024. And let's not forget the "Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) Research Act of 2025" Moore co-introduced with Davidson - talk about making a statement! Meadows, now with the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI), is another major ally. CPI's a big deal in D.C., offering resources to Republican members of Congress. Moore's campaign is off to a flying start, with a packed kickoff rally and an endorsement from the Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF). Keep your eyes peeled, folks – the Alabama Republican Party primaries are coming May 19, 2026!Moore's Senate Campaign Heats Up!
