The Hugh Freeze era just notched its biggest W yet! Auburn stomped Baylor last Friday, fueled by a monstrous running attack and a QB that torched 'em with his legs. Jackson Arnold ran wild, scoring twice as the Tigers racked up over 300 yards on the ground! Looks like the ground game's gonna be this team's calling card. Okay, so Arnold didn't exactly light it up through the air. But hey, when you're gashing 'em on the ground, why change a thing? Smart move, Tigers. Still, when SEC play hits, the offense will need to find some balance. But the Tigers aren't sweating it. Wide receiver Horatio Fields emphasized that winning comes first. Even if it means fewer catches for him and the WR crew, they're all in. "We try to be an efficient scoring machine," Fields said, praising the run game and highlighting their efforts in perimeter blocking. "That’s on the ground. That’s in the air." Talk about a green flag! With pressure mounting to perform on offense this year, Auburn's got a team led by some seriously unselfish stars.Auburn Mauls Baylor: Run Game Dominates!

Melinda MeGahee is a force! As Executive Director of The Lovelady Center, she pours her heart into transforming the lives of women and children impacted by incarceration, addiction, and poverty. She's proof that faith, vision, and dedication can make a HUGE difference! Under Melinda's leadership, The Lovelady Center has blossomed from a small ministry (started in her mother's home!) into one of the Southeast's most effective faith-based rehab programs. They're not just about temporary fixes; they offer spiritual guidance, practical help, and holistic care to break those tough, multi-generational cycles. For Melinda, it's more than just rehab. It's about restoring dignity, reuniting families, and empowering women to embrace a brighter future. Her leadership isn't just about organizational success; it's about the incredible ripple effect that happens when women get the tools, guidance, and faith to transform their lives. Melinda's journey began over 21 years ago, supporting her mother, Brenda Lovelady Spahn, in ministering to women in prison. They saw the need for a holistic program, and from there, the passion and purpose only grew! She witnessed her mother transform an abandoned hospital into a beacon of hope, proving the power of faith and vision. Melinda served in almost every role at the Center, drawing on past business management experience to shape her leadership. Now, as Executive Director, she's continuing her mother's legacy and ensuring that vision of restoration lives on. The Lovelady Center started as a "wholeway house" - reflecting the belief that "God doesn't do anything halfway." In 2005, they moved into the former East End Memorial Hospital, a huge leap of faith. Under Melinda's guidance, The Lovelady Center has continued to grow, expanding programs to meet the complex needs of the women and children they serve. The Next Step Program, which focuses on housing, employment, and financial literacy, is especially close to her heart. And they prioritize family restoration, allowing kids to live with their moms whenever possible. Melinda draws inspiration from the strong women in her life, especially her mother. She also looks to the women she serves every day, whose resilience and determination are a constant source of motivation. For Melinda, her work is inseparable from her faith. Every program is guided by the belief that women deserve dignity, children deserve stability, and families deserve healing. They're not just meeting immediate needs; they're breaking cycles of addiction, poverty, and incarceration, reducing recidivism across Alabama. Melinda's leadership combines strategic vision with compassion and humility. She's committed to both the growth of The Lovelady Center and the personal growth of each woman who walks through its doors. She's a true example of the transformative power of faith-driven service!Melinda MeGahee: A ChumCity Woman of Impact
