Oh, the Hockey Hurt!

Team USA snagged gold, leaving our neighbors to the north with a silver medal in hockey – their national treasure! Ouch. You know that stung.

More Than Just a Game

But the drama didn't end on the ice. Oh no. Now, some Canadians are throwing shade because other Canadians are daring to suggest Alabama might be...better than Canada? The maple leaf is trembling!

Bediako's Battle Continues: Tide Saga Not Over Yet!

Think the Charles Bediako drama with Alabama hoops is done? Think again! Just when you thought his NCAA battle was over, the former G-Leaguer's fighting back.

Appeal Filed to Alabama Supreme Court!

Despite a previous denial, Bediako's camp has filed an appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court, according to reports. They're also seeking emergency relief from the Tuscaloosa circuit court, which, if granted, would let him hit the court while the appeal plays out.

Clock's Ticking for Bediako

Without this temporary green light, the whole appeal becomes pointless. The season's ending soon, and as Bediako's motion states, his chance to play ball in 2026 hangs in the balance.

Judge Holds the Key

The same judge who originally sided with the NCAA, Daniel Pruet, will now decide on this crucial temporary relief.

An Endless Legal Game?

This saga just keeps twisting! After the heat Alabama took for letting Bediako play initially, this legal battle doesn't look like it's ending anytime soon. Bediako's been practicing with the team, so getting back in would be smooth. We're waiting on pins and needles for Judge Pruet's decision, possibly coming this week.

Senator Sends a Strong Message to Mexican Cartels

Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville isn't mincing words! He's issued a stark warning to Mexican drug cartels: keep your hands off Alabamians and other Americans currently in Mexico.

Cartel Violence Erupts

Recent reports detail violent cartel activity, including highway blockades with burning cars and torched businesses, spreading across multiple Mexican states. This chaos reportedly stems from the Mexican government's takedown of notorious cartel leader Nemesio Oseguera, also known as "El Mencho."

US Involvement

The White House has confirmed that the United States provided intelligence support in the military raid.

Tuberville's Warning

"To all Alabamians and Americans who may be in Mexico, STAY SAFE and follow guidance from the State Department," Tuberville declared. "Rest assured, if any of the cartel thugs lay a finger on an American, there will be hell to pay."

Long-Standing Advocate

Senator Tuberville has consistently pushed for tougher action against Mexican drug cartels, previously supporting military strikes against cartel boats in the Caribbean. He views the situation as a war, citing the devastating impact of drugs on American lives.

Order Restored?

While Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum claims order has been restored, the death toll continues to climb.

Common Sense for Secure Elections!

Alabama families know the score: secure elections are KEY to a secure Republic. Washington, are you listening? That’s why the SAVE America Act is absolutely necessary.

Building on Strong Foundations

Remember the SAVE Act? It was all about a simple truth: only American citizens should vote in American elections. Proof of citizenship to register? Clean voter rolls? That's not radical; it's common sense, especially here in Alabama. Voting is a sacred right for CITIZENS.

Closing the Loopholes

The Biden Administration's border policies have opened loopholes, like giving driver's licenses to those here illegally. The SAVE America Act slams those loopholes shut! It ensures federal agencies help states verify citizenship, strengthens safeguards against improper registration, and restores faith in our elections.

Proof of Citizenship? It's Not Extreme!

Dems in D.C. act like asking for proof is wild. Come on! We need ID to fly, open a bank account, even buy certain meds. Proof of citizenship to vote? It's the BARE MINIMUM.

Protecting Every Legal Vote

Americans deserve to know their vote isn't being watered down. The SAVE America Act says our elections are for AMERICANS only. It protects the ballot box with stronger enforcement and accountability.

It's About Trust

This isn't about politics. It's about TRUST in our government. Without that trust, everything falls apart. The SAVE America Act protects every lawful voter and defends our Republic.

Time for the Senate to Act!

The House has done its job, passing legislation to secure our elections. Now, the Senate needs to pass the SAVE America Act!

About Barry Moore

Barry Moore represents Alabama's 1st Congressional District. He's a small business owner, veteran, and candidate for U.S. Senate in 2026.

Tax Season Relief is Here, Y'all!

Okay, folks, tax season is rollin' in like a tide, and those W-2s are landin' faster than a bass outta water. We all know tax forms can feel like tryin' to speak Martian, right? But hold on, 'cause this year, Alabama's got some good news!

Working Families Tax Cuts: More Money in Your Pocket

Remember that One Big Beautiful Bill we were talkin' about? It's now the Working Families Tax Cuts, and it means Alabamians, from the Tennessee Valley to the Gulf Coast, get to keep more of their hard-earned cash! That’s right, every single county!

Saying "So Long" to the Affordability Crisis

Instead of just spoutin' empty promises, we finally did somethin' about makin' life more affordable. On July 4th, 2025, President Trump signed the Working Families Tax Cuts into law, makin' our nation's birthday even sweeter. The average American will see a $3,752 tax cut in 2026! We're talkin' a total of $50 BILLION more in tax returns this year!

Remembering Forgotten Americans

For too long, blue-collar workers and everyday folks have been overlooked. Now, they're gettin' the recognition they deserve! Almost half of Alabamians will benefit, especially our seniors and those hustlin' in the service industry.

No Tax on Overtime: A Victory for Hard Workers

This is HUGE! Thousands of Alabamians put in extra hours to save for retirement, send kids to college, and keep our state hummin'. Taxing that overtime was a slap in the face to the American Dream. Thankfully, those days are OVER! This is also a win for our brave law enforcement officers who work those extra shifts to keep us safe.

No Tax on Tips: Keepin' Your Hard-Earned Money

We expect great service, right? And when we tip, we want that money to actually go to the worker, not disappear into the government's endless pit. Now, regularly tipped workers can claim up to $25,000 in deductions! This is a massive win for the folks we trust with our everyday needs.

No Tax on Social Security: Finally Fair to Seniors

For decades, the government has been double-taxing Social Security benefits. We pay taxes our whole lives, and then get taxed AGAIN on retirement income? Nope. Not anymore! The Working Families Tax Cuts puts American taxpayers FIRST, and that includes our seniors.

Empowering Families: Bringing Back the American Dream

The Working Families Tax Cuts give Americans the power to take control of their lives and feel like their hard work means somethin'. From job creation to school scholarships, these cuts will help families save money and thrive.

Tax season should be a step toward a brighter future for Alabama's working families, and these tax cuts are gonna help make it happen.

The Port: More Than Just Mobile!

When you think of the Port of Mobile, you probably picture ships and cranes, right? But there's a much bigger story to tell! The Alabama Port Authority is all about connecting all 67 counties in our state to the world through a massive network of awesome infrastructure.

Delivering for Alabama – It's Our Mission

We're not just a coastal thing; we're a statewide economic powerhouse! And this week, we're pumped to share some exciting changes that are gonna make us even stronger.

Beyond the Waterfront: Connecting Alabama

The Port of Mobile will always be our star gateway to the world, but the system we've built stretches way beyond the coast. We're talking rail, waterways, highways, airports, and intermodal facilities, all working together to support communities and industries across Alabama.

A New Look, A Bigger Responsibility

As we've grown, it's become super important that our brand reflects our broader responsibility to the whole state.

Clarity Through Branding

This isn't just a cosmetic makeover. This is about clearly defining who we are and who we serve. The Alabama Port Authority is here to fuel economic growth, connect us to global commerce, and strengthen communities all over Alabama.

Introducing the New "A"

Our refreshed brand is anchored by a brand new "A" icon, symbolizing Alabama itself – a commitment to unity and serving the entire state. We’re not just about one city or region; we’re here for everyone who relies on our infrastructure to compete and thrive!

MAX Power: Mobile America Express!

To show how Alabama's port, rail, road, waterway, and air connections all work together, we're introducing Mobile America Express, or MAX! It's a unified platform showing off our multimodal strengths, connecting the Gulf Coast to the heart of America.

Opportunity for All Alabamians

MAX isn't a new direction; it's a clearer way to express what we already do – a coordinated network linking the Port of Mobile to inland Alabama and beyond.

Real Impact, Real Opportunity

Farmers in the Black Belt, manufacturers in North Alabama, steel producers in Birmingham, timber operations in Southwest Alabama, and distribution centers in Central Alabama – they all benefit from our reliable connections!

Building a Better Alabama

Our vision is to make Alabama a leader in global commerce by building the most efficient, innovative, and sustainable port ecosystem in the country. We need continued investment in infrastructure and crystal-clear communication.
