Born into foster care and adopted at two, Lee understands the incredible impact of a loving family. It fueled her to become a voice for kids still waiting for theirs.

Kids to Love: A Dream Come True

Today, Lee leads the Kids to Love Foundation, a beacon of hope for over 300,000 foster children. "Family is my everything!" she says. She's super proud that Kids to Love has blossomed from a heartfelt calling into an organization that's truly changing lives. They build homes, create job training programs, and even offer mental wellness support – focusing on healing and growth for children and families. It's all about giving kids a chance to thrive!

From News Anchor to Changemaker

Lee's journey started in TV news, where she snagged three Emmy Awards in 20 years! As an anchor, she used her "Forever Families" segment to shine a light on kids needing homes, connecting over 200 of them with permanent families.

But Lee knew she was meant for something more. Inspired by her own experience as a foster child, she launched Kids to Love in 2004, dedicated to finding families and meeting the urgent needs of foster kids.

Building a Brighter Future

Her vision kept growing! She opened the Kids to Love Center and launched KTECH, a workforce training program giving foster youth, veterans, and others skills in high-demand fields. Lee explains that their work provides long-term solutions—education, housing, therapy, and stability.

Knowing that adoption isn't always possible, Lee opened Davidson Farms, a safe and loving home for girls in foster care. And to help kids heal from past trauma, she added a mental wellness center.

Faith, Grit, and Vision

Lee's leadership has been recognized all over the world! But her work is all about faith. Lee credits strong women for guiding her journey, including her mentor Dr. Dorothy Davidson. Lee says her daughters inspire her daily and she is encouraged by the foster moms who are willing to step in and help.

Lee believes a great leader has vision, courage, and compassion. "Leadership is about people, not positions," she says, emphasizing resilience – pushing forward through setbacks and staying focused on the mission.

Lee is also a motivational speaker and singer-songwriter, using her voice to advocate for school safety and other important issues. Her message is simple: Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and given the chance to thrive.
