High-Speed Chase Ends in Devastation

The Saturday evening pursuit, starting in Priceville, culminated in a multi-vehicle pileup in Hartselle. A young life, that of a 17-year-old, was tragically lost, and five others were hospitalized. Our hearts go out to everyone affected.

What Sparked the Chase?

It seems Officer Chapman initiated the stop due to moving violations and suspected DUI. The suspect, 40-year-old Archie Brandon Hale, allegedly bolted, leading to the chase. Hale has since been apprehended.

Investigation Underway

Priceville Police Chief Jerry Holmes assures us that placing Chapman on leave is standard procedure during such incidents. An internal investigation is currently in full swing to determine the facts.

Remembering Tristan Hollis

The devastating crash claimed the life of 17-year-old Tristan Hollis. A graveside service will be held Thursday at Hartselle City Cemetery to honor his memory. The accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 36 and U.S. 31 in Hartselle.
