Heads up, ChumCity citizens! The Alabama League of Municipalities (ALM) is rolling into Tuscaloosa on October 1st and 2nd for a jam-packed training session at the Bryant Conference Center. This is the first of four regional orientations designed to help newly elected and returning local leaders. Every four years after elections, ALM throws these awesome sessions to help city and town bigwigs understand what the League offers. Get ready for the lowdown on programs, services, and crucial insights on legal, financial, and ethical stuff straight from ALM experts and the Alabama Ethics Commission. The program? Think legislative updates, hot-topic municipal issues, and resources to tackle those everyday challenges. Plus, there's a ton of networking so you can swap ideas with fellow leaders from all over Alabama. Over 200 officials, mainly from West Alabama, are already signed up for this two-day extravaganza. Expect a variety of training sessions to sink your teeth into. Since 1935, ALM has been the go-to for over 450 Alabama cities and towns, championing strong local governance through advocacy, training, and leadership development. Day One runs from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., with an evening reception to unwind. Day Two wraps up at 12:30 p.m. Get ready to learn! ALM is all about giving municipal leaders the tools and know-how they need to make a real difference in their communities.
