Hold on to your hats, ChumCity citizens! The political pot is stirring in Alabama, and Senator Tommy Tuberville has some thoughts on Paul Finebaum possibly throwing his hat into the ring for the U.S. Senate race in 2026. Tuberville, speaking on FM Talk 106.5, said he's staying neutral for now, even with his "good friend" Finebaum considering a run. "I'm not getting involved," the Senator declared, but he did offer some advice for the SEC Network host. Tuberville suggests Finebaum needs to do more than rely on his name recognition. "People already know [he’s got] 100% name ID, but you’ve got to tell people his politics and what he believes in and what he’s going to try to do," Tuberville stated. Is Finebaum serious? "It sounded pretty strong," Tuberville mused. The clock's ticking, with the primary just months away! Tuberville didn't hold back when discussing the kind of leaders Washington needs. Forget fancy law degrees, he says! "You got to be an American," he emphasized, someone who "believe[s] in this country" and will "protect this country." According to Tuberville, the country needs "leaders in Washington, D.C." Despite his concerns about the current state of affairs, Tuberville expressed optimism about the candidates vying for his Senate seat. He believes "they have good leadership skills" and are "doing it for the right reasons." Here's hoping Alabama gets a good one who can "make a difference" up in D.C.!Tuberville Talks Finebaum's Senate Run

The Alabama Crimson Tide snagged another massive W on Saturday afternoon in T-Town, thrashing Vanderbilt 30-14! This victory felt especially sweet after last year's letdown following the Georgia triumph. Remember the ribbing Alabama took after stumbling against Vandy last season? This year was a different story. The Tide came out hungry, shook off an early setback, and dominated the second half. A fourth-down pick from Ty Simpson (his FIRST turnover of the season, believe it or not!) gave Vanderbilt the early momentum. But the defense, folks, the DEFENSE! Diego Pavia fumbled near the goal line, and Bama recovered, turning the tide (pun intended!). Simpson then connected with Ryan Williams for a TD, evening the score. Pavia and the Commodores weren't backing down. They snagged a 14-7 lead with a TD pass to Sedrick Alexander. But Simpson responded with a touchdown strike to Germie Bernard, sending us into halftime all tied up at 14. The second half? Pure Bama domination. Vanderbilt couldn't muster a single point! Alabama chipped away with two field goals. Then, a HUGE interception by Keon Sabb in the fourth kept Vandy out of the end zone and preserved the lead. On a crucial third-and-one, offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor (remember his catch last week?) bulldozed his way for a vital first down! After another field goal stretched the lead, Jam Miller sealed the deal with a late touchdown, turning the game into a decisive victory. Miller racked up 136 yards on 22 carries. Simpson rebounded big time, going 23-for-31 with 340 yards and two TDs. Williams led the receiving corps with 98 yards, while Bernard added 82. Alabama hits the road to face Missouri next week. Kickoff is at 110 a.m. Time to stay locked in, but for now, ROLL TIDE!Tide Roll Over Vandy in Tuscaloosa

Final Thoughts:
Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is laying down the law, folks, slamming Democrats as the federal government shutdown drags on! As of Monday, we're knee-deep in day six of the shutdown after the Senate punted on both parties' funding bills last Friday. Word on the street is the Senate's back in session today, but neither plan seems to have the 60 votes needed to pass. "Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats voted once again to keep the government shut down," Tuberville blasted. "Schumer shut down! They care more about illegal aliens than the American taxpayers. They’ve been trying to find ways to give free health care to illegals for many years." Republicans are hot under the collar about Democrats wanting to expand Obamacare subsidies, arguing that it could mean taxpayer dollars are going towards healthcare for those who've entered the country illegally. "Back in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, every single Democrat raised their hand to say they support giving free health care to illegals," Tuberville reminded everyone. He also pointed the finger at Gavin Newsom in California. According to the senator, the Democrats are willing to shut down the government unless Republicans agree to cough up a whopping $185 billion for free healthcare for illegal immigrants. "Ridiculous!" he exclaimed. With the Senate failing to play ball, the House GOP is extending its recess through Oct. 13 to crank up the pressure on Senate Democrats. "The government spending in Washington is out of control," Tuberville declared, adding that President Trump was elected to trim the fat. He believes prioritizing American citizens over illegal aliens is key. Tuberville, who might be eyeing a run for Alabama Governor in 2026, thinks the American people will pin the blame for this mess squarely on the Democrats. "The radical Senate Democrats think they're sticking it to President Trump, but the American people will not be fooled," he said. He hopes Democrats will ditch their "Trump derangement syndrome." In the meantime, Tuberville's offices in Alabama and DC remain open.Tuberville Torches Dems Amid Shutdown Showdown!
