Alabama's Republican Congressional delegation is hitting the streets (and social media!) to spread the good word about the newly passed "One Big, Beautiful Bill." Signed into law by President Trump on July 4th, this budget package has Alabama Republicans buzzing. Senator Katie Britt is highlighting the bill's educational perks, proclaiming it will funnel $60 million in scholarships to students at 1890 Institutions. She notes this will open doors for students pursuing careers in agriculture, food science, and natural resources at Alabama's HBCUs. "Proud to advocate for this investment!" she exclaimed. Senator Tommy Tuberville is calling the bill a "BIG WIN" for Alabamians, without elaborating on the reasons for his enthusiasm. Representative Barry Moore is emphasizing the tax breaks Alabamians will see. He stated that the "One Big, Beautiful Bill" delivers over $10 billion in tax cuts for our farmers, from income tax relief to protecting family farms. Moore touts this as a "down payment" on the Farm Bill, offering a "much-needed lifeline" to producers. Representative Robert Aderholt was on hand at the White House for the signing ceremony. Representative Gary Palmer is confident the bill will help his party pick up more seats in the 2026 midterm elections. Speaking on Talk 99.5 radio, Palmer argued that opposing the bill meant Democrats were essentially in favor of a $4 trillion tax increase on Americans!Alabama Republicans Tout "One Big, Beautiful Bill"
