Tide Hoops: Bediako's Run Ends, But No NCAA Sanctions Incoming!

Bama hoops fans got a bit of a gut punch this week. Charles Bediako, the former G-League player whose eligibility was up in the air, was denied his preliminary injunction to keep playing. So, after a brief and wild ride, it looks like his time in Crimson Tide gear is officially over.

No Need to Panic, Bama Fans!

The big question on everyone's minds? Would the NCAA punish the Tide for playing Bediako while his eligibility was being debated? Would those three wins vanish into thin air?

Fear not! NCAA President Charlie Baker has essentially said "Chill."

Baker Says No Sanctions

According to Baker, the NCAA won't be hitting the Crimson Tide with any penalties. He told Sports Illustrated, "For a lot of really good reasons, people who lose in court can’t turn around and punish the people who won." Makes sense, right?

Oats Stays Consistent

This aligns with what Coach Nate Oats has been saying all along: even if the court didn't rule in their favor, the team wouldn't face punishment.

Moving On Up!

So, while it's a bummer for Bediako and the team, it's time to put it behind them. The Tide can now focus on crushing the rest of the season. Roll Tide!
