Perdido Beach Resort Gets an Alabama Upgrade!

Big news, ChumCity! Our beloved Perdido Beach Resort, a true Alabama gem, has a new owner! A group of investors with serious Alabama roots, including the legendary Ms. Terry and Coach Nick Saban, just snagged the property.

Local Love for a Coastal Treasure

Perdido Hotel Partners, LLC, in partnership with Aurora Hospitality Partners and other Alabama investors, made the big announcement this week. After almost 40 years of being a family favorite in Orange Beach, the resort is staying in Alabama hands. The new team wants to keep the resort a vital part of Alabama's tourism and a special Gulf Coast spot for years to come.

What's Next for Perdido?

Aurora Hospitality Partners, an Alabama-based hotel management company, co-owns the property and will be running the show. They promise to respect the resort's history while making it even better for guests. Blair Plott, co-founder of Aurora Hospitality Partners, says they're excited to lead Perdido Beach Resort into the future, showcasing the best of Alabama.

A Bit of History

The Perdido Beach Resort opened back in '87 and has been owned by Alabama businessman Jim Meadlock until now. With 338 rooms, tons of event space, and four places to grab food and drinks, it's a Gulf Coast destination.
