Decatur's Got a New Top Dog!

Hold onto your hats, ChumCity! After a nail-biting race to the mayor's office, Kent Lawrence has emerged victorious! With Mayor Tab Bowling stepping down, the race was wide open, and Lawrence seized the opportunity.

The Numbers Are In!

Lawrence snagged a whopping 6,201 votes (that's 54.16%!), leaving City Councilman Billy Jackson in the dust with 4,898 votes (42.78%). William "Butch" Matthews and Suzie Wiley also threw their hats in the ring, garnering 217 and 134 votes respectively.

These results are still unofficial, folks, but the buzz is real!
