Big news, ChumCity! Our neighbors, the Poarch Creek Indians, just scored the 2025 Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award from Scouting America – Mobile Area Council! The honor was bestowed on August 7th at Austal USA in Mobile. This national award shines a light on folks and groups making a real difference for young people, especially those from rural areas or low-income city communities. The Poarch Creek Indians are being recognized for their awesome community involvement, leadership, and support - values that resonate deeply with the Boy Scouts of America and the spirit of Whitney M. Young Jr. "We are honored to receive the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award," said Tribal Council Member Justin Stabler. "This reflects the amazing young people we work with and the community leaders inspiring change. Every child deserves a shot at success, and we're proud to be part of this movement!"
