Get ready to roar, Tigers! The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University is about to become even more accessible thanks to a monumental $30 million commitment from its namesake, Samuel Ginn, and the Ginn Family Foundation. This is HUGE – the largest scholarship commitment EVER for the school!

What Does This Mean for Students?

This game-changing gift will establish 40 Ginn Scholar awards annually. We're talking full coverage: tuition, fees, room and board, all for up to five years! Can you imagine the possibilities?

Why Did Ginn Do It?

Samuel Ginn, a proud 1959 Auburn grad, remembers the financial struggles of affording college. He wants to ease that burden for future generations. "My hope is that this program will lessen the financial burden of a higher education and help families in our state," Ginn says. He believes hard-working students deserve the chance to focus on their studies, not their wallets.

A Legacy of Giving

Mario Eden, dean of engineering, emphasizes the impact of Ginn's continued support. This new investment will open doors for countless students from Alabama, reinforcing Auburn's commitment as a land-grant institution.

Who Can Apply?

To be a Ginn Scholar, you'll need to demonstrate financial need, graduate from a Title I high school in Alabama, and gain admission to the College of Engineering.

Ginn: An Alum Who Made a Difference

After serving in the Army, Ginn had a stellar career at AT&T and its affiliates. He even built AirTouch, the world's largest cellular company, before selling it for a cool $65 billion! He's a member of multiple Halls of Fame, a true testament to his incredible achievements.
