My father and uncle started Wellborn 60 years ago, building it into a company that prides itself on American-made quality. Our team is everything! We offer great benefits, including on-site healthcare and daycare, and subsidized lunches. But they are worried - foreign imports are a major threat.

The China Cabinet Crisis

Back in 2020, tariffs were implemented in response to the surge of subsidized cabinets from China. But, it wasn't long before China started working around the rules by moving products through other countries like Cambodia, Mexico, and Vietnam to evade tariffs.

American Jobs Vanishing

Thousands of American cabinet jobs have already been lost across the country. At Wellborn, we've seen a huge drop in production and a reduction in employees.

President Trump Takes Action

President Trump has initiated an investigation to stop these unfair practices, especially the dumping of foreign-made cabinets at ridiculously low prices. Senator Tuberville notes that "President Trump has been strategically using tariffs," and is urging him to impose a 100% tariff on cabinets to save Alabama jobs.
