The Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences (ASHS) is thrilled to announce Kelly Augsburger Brasher as its very first Chief School Finance Officer (CSFO)! Brasher comes to the brand-new residential high school with a whopping 20+ years of business and finance experience. For over a decade, Brasher kept Auburn City Schools' $150 million annual budget in tip-top shape as their accountant. She's a pro at everything from local school finance to massive capital projects, bidding, and even purchasing. Auburn's system, with nearly 10,000 students, is among Alabama's biggest and best! “Kelly’s experience is exactly what we needed," said ASHS President Dr. James "Jimmy" Martin. Brasher is super excited about her new gig, which starts now! "I can't wait to build this department from scratch," she said. "It's an honor to be part of a project with so much potential for Alabama!" Brasher has a Business Administration degree from Auburn and certifications that match her new role perfectly. Plus, she's active in her community as a founding board member of the Auburn Thunder Soccer Club. ASHS is working hard to open its doors in fall 2026. This tuition-free, public, residential school will tackle Alabama's healthcare worker shortage by partnering with medical and educational powerhouses. It's especially focused on helping underserved rural areas. With Brasher on board, President Martin's leadership team is officially complete!Big News for Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences!
