Alabama Celebrates "Woods to Goods" Week!

Get ready to give a shout-out to Alabama's awesome forest products industry! Governor Kay Ivey has officially declared the third week of October as "Alabama Woods to Goods Week," aligning it with National Forest Products Week.

What's the Hype?

From October 19-25, 2025, we're celebrating the amazing folks, resources, companies, and environmental impact of this vital industry. This marks the fifth year Governor Ivey has recognized "Alabama Woods to Goods Week." It’s kind of a big deal!

Big Impact, Big Numbers!

Did you know the forest industry contributes over $36 BILLION to Alabama's economy? And it's more than just money; it supports a whopping 123,624 jobs for Alabamians. We're talking logging, trucking, milling... the whole shebang. Plus, Alabama’s forests grow way more wood than is harvested.

Growing Strong and Sustainable

Over 80% more wood volume grows in our forests each year than is harvested, and over 90% of those forests are privately owned. "Woods to Goods Week" highlights this sustainability and recognizes the impact of everyone involved, from loggers and truck drivers to mill owners and landowners.

Join the Celebration!

Expect mill tours, logging site visits, children’s book donations, land management demos, and a ton of other cool educational events. From students to public officials, there's something for everyone to learn about the industry's positive impact.
